We are very happy to have your child as a pupil at iSchool. To maintain the high standard of education you and your child deserve, we have a simple set of conditions that form the agreement between you and the school. Please read them carefully to ensure that you and your child are happy with them. These Conditions form a legally binding agreement for the provision of educational services.

1.INTRODUCTION

This agreement sets out the terms and conditions upon which a place has been offered to your child. By accepting a place for your child as a pupil you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. We have endeavoured to draft this document in clear language, free, where possible, from legal jargon. It is, however, legally binding on both iSchool and you. In this document the term ‘parents’ is frequently used. Guardians are included within the meaning of that word.

2. DURATION
This agreement will remain in force for as long as your child remains with us and all fees have been paid in accordance with Condition 5 below.

3. AUTHORITY OF THE HEAD TEACHER
Parents authorise the Head Teacher of iSchool or their nominated deputy to take such action as the Head Teacher may consider to be in the best interests of the pupil on a day-to- day basis.

4. PROVISION OF EDUCATION
The School will do all that is reasonable to provide an educational environment and teaching of a range, standard and quality which is suitable for each pupil. The school cannot guarantee that the pupil will achieve his or her desired examination results or that results will be sufficient to gain entry to other educational establishments.

5. FEES
The fees and other expenses payable and the timing of such fees are set out on the iSchool website. Please follow this link for further information on fees https://ischool.education/index.php/ischool-fees.

The School makes every effort to hold fees stable for each academic year. However, the School reserves the right to increase fees at any time; any increase will be notified to you at least thirty (30) days before the increase takes effect. The liability to pay fees and all other expenses is the joint and several liability of the people who have signed the Conditions of Attendance.

A pupil whose fees have not been paid in full or in accordance with an agreed fee payment plan before the start of term may at any time be excluded from attending until full payment is made. Parents are liable to pay all costs, fees, disbursements and charges including legal fees and costs reasonably incurred by iSchool in the recovery of any unpaid fees regardless of the value of the claim.

6. NOTICE PERIOD
Monthly and Termly Payments
Parents can withdraw their child at any point by giving notice to leave the school. Notice of withdrawal can be given by email to learn@ischool.education no later than 14 days before the end of a term. Notification by any other means including by telephone is not valid. It is expected that there will be prior consultation with the Head Teacher before the withdrawal of a pupil. There are three leaving dates throughout the academic year; these coincide with the last day of each of the three terms.

If the notice results in a pupil leaving the school at any point prior to the end of a term, the full terms fees will be applied based on the package you have chosen for your child.

Yearly Payments
Parents can withdraw their child at any point by giving notice to leave the school. Notice of withdrawal can be given by email to learn@ischool.education no later than 14 days before the end of a term. Notification by any other means including by telephone is not valid. It is expected that there will be prior consultation with the Head Teacher before the withdrawal of a pupil.

If the notice results in a pupil leaving the school at any point prior to the end of an academic year, a one term leaver’s fee will be applied based on the package you have chosen for your child. This will not apply if the child completes and pays fees for the full academic year. Notice for the pupil to leave at the end of an academic year, must be received no later than 14 days before the end of the school Summer Term. This rule is necessary to promote stability and the school’s ability to plan its staffing and other resources.

For the avoidance of doubt, if notice is not provided 14 days of the last day of the school for the school in the Summer Term, then the pupil will be deemed to be continuing for the following academic year and the notice clause for the relevant year will apply.

 7. DEPOSIT
If a place is cancelled by the parent after acceptance, but before the student starts school, the deposit is non-refundable.

If notice is not given according to the schools notice period in clause 6 of this document, the deposit will be non-refundable.

By signing this agreement, parents give iSchool permission to contact any exam centres where a student has sat exams and in turn, permission for the exam centre to release exam results to iSchool.

iSchool will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your child uses the facilities of the school platform for appropriate purposes, but your child will be held accountable for his/her use of the iSchool electronic mail services and the online social community and that deliberate misuse will be treated as a breach of iSchool rules. Parents give their permission for the Head Teacher to monitor use of ISchool’s services at any time.

In order to protect pupils from unsuitable contacts on the internet, pupils will have passwords and must only make contact with other pupils and staff in the authorised class rooms, message boards, email accounts and lessons and online communities set up by ISchool.

All pupils will have their identities verified before acceptance into iSchool.

11. USER NAMES AND PASSWORDS

The Head Teacher has authority to deal with all disciplinary matters arising and to delegate disciplinary powers amongst the staff as appropriate. Parents and pupils accept such authority of the Head Teacher unconditionally. In very serious cases of ill-discipline, it may be appropriate for the Head Teacher to suspend or expel a pupil. Parents agree that the Head Teacher has full authority to suspend or expel a pupil in these circumstances. Parents will be contacted immediately by the Head Teacher if a pupil is suspended explaining the circumstances that have led to the suspension.

 15. BEHAVIOUR
Parents or carers are responsible in ensuring students adhere to the school’s code of conduct as set out in this document.

The Executive Headteacher and Heads of School reserve the right to exclude pupils as a result of the poor behaviour of the pupil or inappropriate or abusive behaviour of the carer, which contravenes our school policies. By enrolling in iSchool Online, parents and carers agree to follow our terms and conditions. A breach of this may result in the family being unenrolled.

At iSchool Online, we strive to respect pupils and families, and to ensure they are empowered to thrive. We understand the importance of wanting to support your child at home during their live lesson time; however, this must be carefully balanced with a trust placed in teaching staff to equip your child to learn independently. By enrolling in iSchool Online, parents and carers agree ensure learning takes place without any disruption to the student or the class.

16. ACADEMIC
All work submitted by pupils must be their own. By submitting work for marking and feedback, pupils agree that the work submitted is original and that any extraneous sources used are fully cited and referenced. The school reserves the right to ‘screen’ work for similarity at any time, particularly where there may be suspicions that cheating and/or plagiarism has taken place. Pupils agree to undertake assessments with monitoring by proctoring services as deemed appropriate by the school.

Pupils and parents or carers will work in partnership to ensure that all assessments are completed in accordance with ‘exam conditions’ and no extraneous sources are used to gain advantage. Pupils who commit academic malpractice may result in a loss of marks or grades, being reported to the associated exam boards or being excluded from the school. The Executive Headteacher and Heads of School are responsible for decisions made regarding this.

17. CANCELLATION OF LESSONS
Lessons that are cancelled due to the fault of the school (e.g. teacher connection, system break down, staff illness) will either be covered by a cover teacher or made up in the form of cover work or recorded lessons.
